Ashley joined Summit in November of 2025 as an Educational Therapist and Consultant.

She received her B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia in 2010. After teaching at an independent school, Ashley attended graduate school at the University of Virginia and received her Masters in Teaching in 2013, during which she taught under a National Board Certified teacher.  Ashley spent the next seven years in the classroom, where she received specialized training in Social-Emotional Learning and served as a representative on the SEL Team, collaborating on initiatives to support student well-being and social-emotional practices.

Since 2020, Ashley has worked independently with students outside the classroom. She is an Educational Therapist through the Association of Educational Therapists as well as a C-SLDI Certified-Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist.

Ashley focuses on the individual needs of each child. She aims to strengthen the cognitive, academic, and emotional foundations necessary for learning and academic performance.  The goal is to not solely teach content, but to also improve how a child learns – building independence, confidence, and resilience. She provides structured skill development and executive-function support while collaborating with families, educators, and clinicians.  Ashley believes that relational connection is a critical component of effective intervention and student engagement, and she thoughtfully builds rapport with families to support meaningful learning and growth from home to school.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends,  who inspire her daily to approach life and her work with curiosity, patience, and purpose.
