Fees & Payment
We have elected to be an Out-of-Network practice because we believe it gives our clients more control of their care:
More Privacy: Your therapy stays between you and your therapist. No diagnosis is required to begin, and your information won’t be shared with insurance companies unless you choose to submit claims.
Greater Flexibility: Insurance often limits the number or type of sessions. We are able to tailor treatment to your needs and not your insurance requirements.
Empowered Choice: You’re not limited to therapists who happen to be in-network. You can choose the therapist who is the best fit for you, your goals, and your values.

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation or to reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so will result in the following fees: Psychotherapy no-show: $115 All other appointments: 50% of agreed upon rate for that service
Effective December 4, 2023, a 3.0% surcharge will be assessed for all credit card payment transactions. No such fees will apply to debit card, HSA, FSA, cash, or check payments in accordance with the law.
Getting Reimbursed
While we do not bill insurance directly, many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions through their Out-of-Network benefits and we’re happy to help! Upon request, we will provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. We also accept HSA/FSA cards, where applicable.
If you have a PPO or POS plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. We will be happy to provide sample CPT codes on request, and then to determine how much your insurance covers for each session, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask for your plan’s “Out-of-Network reimbursement rate” and ask the following questions:
Do I have Out-of-Network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
How do I submit a claim?
Billing FAQs
While many clients elect to not interact with insurance providers, several services with Summit are sometimes covered by certain insurance policies even though we are Out-of-Network providers.
Check with your insurance company’s Summary of Benefits to see if you have Out-of-Network benefits as part of your “insurance product.”
Call the number on the back of your insurance card to make sure you have Out-of-Network benefits and consider asking these questions:
How much is my deductible and how much has been met this year?
What is my Out-of-Network deductible for outpatient behavioral health?
Ask for an estimate of what their reimbursement rate for the following services:
Initial evaluation (60 minutes) CPT Code 90791
Ongoing therapy (60 minutes) CPT Code 90837
Ask for a copy of the form you will need to complete to submit your request for reimbursement with your Super Bill.
Payment in full is due at each appointment.
We will provide a Super Bill (an itemized receipt with a diagnosis code) for you to file with your insurance.
You fax the Super Bill to your insurance company with their filing form.
Depending on your Out-of-Network benefits, your insurance company may apply the cost of services toward your deductible or may provide direct reimbursement to you.
